Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)

OSHA adopts and enforces workplace safety and health standards to protect workers from work-related injuries and illnesses. The Compliance Office conducts inspections in response to employee complaints or as part of a targeted inspection program initiated by OSHA to ensure that workers and the public are protected from safety hazards. OSHA also has compliance assistance specialists who can provide general information about OSHA standards and compliance assistance resources.The OSHA website features information and tools to assist workplaces in meeting compliance, understanding law and regulations, and creating safe and healthy environments for workers.
