Regional Convening 2019

Overview

Children and Youth Specialty Mental Health Services Regional Provider and County Convenings 2018-2019

November 13, 2018

Supporting provider and county collaboration and partnerships to serve children and youth.

The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), in collaboration with the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) and the California Institute for Behavioral Health Solutions (CIBHS), is conducting regional convenings to support provider and county collaboration and partnerships on the implementation of efforts and initiatives related to the following topics:

  • Short Term Residential Therapeutic Programs (STRTPs);
  • Presumptive Transfer; and
  • Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) and Intensive Services Foster Care (ISFC) 

Additionally, DHCS and CDSS will provide updates and answer questions from participants. We are asking all participants to fill out a questionnaire after registering for this event to obtain questions in advance of the event.

Who Should Attend:

  • County representatives from Mental Health Plans (MHPs), Child Welfare Departments, and Juvenile Probation.  (Program Managers/Supervisors, Quality Improvement Coordinators, etc.)
  • We encourage counties to send their point of contact for Presumptive Transfer.
  • Representatives for Foster Family Agencies (FFA) and STRTPs.

This regional convening is for Foster Family Agency (FFA), STRTP, County Mental Health Plan, County Child Welfare, and Juvenile Probation representatives working within the following counties: Alpine; Amador; Calaveras; Colusa; El Dorado; Nevada; Placer; Sacramento; San Joaquin; Sierra; Stanislaus; Sutter/Yuba; and Yolo.
