Overview

Regional Convenings 2018
Children and Youth Specialty Mental Health Services: Moving Policy into Practice

January 30, 2018

The Department of Health Care Services is conducting regional convenings in 2018 to support counties in their implementation efforts and initiatives related to specialty mental health services for children and youth while providing a forum for counties to learn from each other and strengthen their work with cross-system partners.

Goals for the Convening:

  • Support Counties in their continued implementation of efforts and initiatives related to specialty mental health services for children and youth.
  • Provide updates on Pathways to Well Being (Intensive Care Coordination (ICC), Intensive Home Based Services (IHBS), and Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC)); AB 1299—Presumptive Transfer, AB 501—Children’s Crisis Residential Treatment Programs and efforts related to the Continuum of Care Reform (CCR).

Who Should Attend:

  • County representatives from Mental Health Plans (MHPs), Child Welfare Departments, and Juvenile Probation.  (Program Managers/Supervisors, Quality Improvement Coordinators, etc.)
  • We encourage each county to identify the appropriate program staff and to attend as a team.
